MBA are currently recruiting for a highly successful financial organisation who are looking for a dedicated and meticulous
Lending Operations Officer to join the team in Birmingham on a hybrid basis.
As a Lending Operations Officer, you will be dealing with Bridging, Buy to Let (BTL), Commercial and Development loans to provide a first-class service for all our customers and brokers from the issue of the formal mortgage offer, through to completion.
This role will also involve the servicing of existing loans, including the collection of arrears, collection of payments and escalating cases to Debt Management.
In return, the Lending Operations Officer will receive a salary up to £33,000 (DOE), 25 days paid annual leave, contributory pension and private medical cover.
Role and Responsibilities
The Lending Operations Officer will:
- Collaboratively work with the Lending and Underwriting teams on all new lending proposals throughout the process to successfully assist with the delivery of loan drawdowns in a timely and efficient manner.
- Carry out the appropriate level of due diligence, ensuring money laundering/Know Your Customer procedures are correctly completed.
- Ensure that all automated processes have been completed correctly. If any issues arise, investigate the problem, involve others as necessary, and ensure it is fixed. As a last resort, manage the process manually.
- Take responsibility for the processing and administration of Certificate of Titles and all necessary mortgage documents to support the completion of new mortgage accounts.
Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge and experience of working with various operational processing lending and security documentation, ideally involved in secured real estate lending.
- The ability to deliver excellent customer service.
- Comfortable handling objections and finding solutions
- Excellent organisational and IT skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks whilst maintaining high levels of accuracy and adhering to tight timescales.
- Have the ability to be flexible in line with business needs and priorities.
- Work in a fastpaced environment and can adapt to changes positively.
