The salary for this permanent Cardiac Physiologist job is £45,000 - £50,000 per annum.

Shift Pattern:


  • 37.5 hours per week
  • This is a fulltime role with the following shift patterns: Monday
  • Friday between 08:00 am 20:00 pm, either a 4day working week or 5day working week pending on service requirements and individual suitability
  • Flexible working can be offered (4day working week) with potential oncall commitment paid at competitive rates; once appropriately trained

Duties:


  • Work autonomously, performing varied roles within Non-Invasive and Invasive cardiology
  • ECG holter monitoring, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring and exercise tolerance testing
  • Invasive Cardiology will include angiograms, right heart catheters, coronary intervention, and structural intervention

Requirements of the Cardiac Physiologist:


  • A Cardiac Physiologist (equivalent to NHS AFC Band 5/6)
  • Be competent within Non-Invasive cardiology duties listed above and assisting /working towards independence within Invasive cardiology
  • HCPC Clinical Scientist registration (or working towards/eligible) (desirable)
  • Use of EPIC, PaceArt and GE holters, GE cardiosoft exercise software and GE haemodynamics Siemens Sensis and EP GE Cardiolab (desirable)
  • Familiar with all pacemaker programmer manufacturers (desirable)
  • Technical skills enabling measurement and analysis of physiological parameters
  • Understands the use of word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
  • If specializing in EP, familiar with 3D mapping, carto, ablation techniques
  • BSc (Hons) in Cardiac Physiology or equivalent sciencebased degree with relevant experience in a cardiac physiology department
  • Intermediate or Advanced Life Support (ILS/ALS)
  • Owns postgraduate Certification in Cardiology specialty e.g., BHRS/IBHRE (either CRM/EP or both) accreditation or equivalent
  • Experience in a wide range of invasive and noninvasive techniques inc CRM complex ppm/ICD/CRT device followup, involved in assessment and therapy provision for patients with cardiac disease
  • Solo and proficient in all areas of Non-Invasive Cardiology and specializes in invasive cardiology in either intervention with solo CRM implants or EP studies/ablation
