As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Topographic Land & Measured Building Surveyor to lead our surveying team and deliver exceptional results to our clients.


Job Summary:


The Senior Topographic Land & Measured Building Surveyor will be responsible for leading and managing topographic land surveys and measured building surveys from inception to completion.

This role involves overseeing survey projects, coordinating survey teams, conducting fieldwork, and producing accurate and detailed survey reports.

The Senior Surveyor will also provide technical expertise, mentorship, and guidance to junior surveying staff, ensuring the highest quality of work and client satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead and manage topographic land surveys and measured building surveys, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating survey projects.
  • Conduct onsite fieldwork using advanced surveying equipment and techniques to collect accurate measurements and data.
  • Utilize surveying software and technology to process, analyze, and interpret survey data, including point clouds, digital terrain models (DTMs), and 3D models.
  • Prepare detailed survey reports, drawings, and deliverables for clients, adhering to industry standards and specifications.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to junior surveying staff, including training, mentoring, and supervision.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and deadlines are achieved.
  • Maintain uptodate knowledge of surveying techniques, technologies, and best practices, and implement improvements as appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and procedures at all times, both in the office and onsite.
  • Represent the company professionally in client meetings, site visits, and industry events.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Bachelor's degree or higher in surveying, geomatics, civil engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional surveying certification or licensure (e.g., RICS, CICES, or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Proven experience in topographic land surveys and measured building surveys, with a minimum of 35 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in using surveying equipment, such as total stations, GPS/GNSS receivers, laser scanners, and digital levels.
  • Advanced knowledge of surveying software, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and point cloud processing software (e.g., Leica Cyclone, Trimble RealWorks).
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to interpret complex survey data and produce accurate deliverables.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead teams and collaborate with clients and stakeholders.
  • Leadership abilities, including mentorship, coaching, and team management skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering highquality surveying services.
