Build your skills and knowledge, make friends and discover opportunities to help you grow in your career, while being empowered to work flexibly and find the right balance so you can realise your full potential.- The opportunity- As our Leeds finance function continues to grow, we have an opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join us and be a valued member of our team, where we will support you to grow and shape your career at QBE.- We'll strive to give you the opportunity to build your breadth of skills and provide you with a range of experiences to meet the demands we face at work today, and in the years ahead.- Your new role- The Finance Business Partner will work with the Senior Finance Business Partner to build strong relationships with business leaders to deliver insightful narrative ensuring management are supported in making sound commercial decisions.- Your primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Support the delivery of the finance strategy across function or division of QBE, supporting change & assisting business leaders with decision making in driving the business through an analytical lens.


  • Accountable for delivery of the financial planning and reforecasting process across the division's cost base
  • Challenge expense plans to ensure delivery within budgets and work with senior management to identify and implement cost saving initiatives
  • Support ad hoc operational efficiency projects to significantly improve financial discipline and commercial awareness across the division
  • Work in conjunction with the wider Finance team (EO & Group) to continually update and improve all management reporting including design of new reporting, adaptation of existing reporting and establishing best practice
  • Direct the preparation and consolidation of the respective function / division's budget to support achievement of overall EO finance plan.
  • Manage the provision of regular standardized management information to business heads and support all ad hoc analysis as required to support and inform decision making
  • Manage the delivery of full monthly commentary, analysis and communication of managed expenses across the respective function / division.

  • Communicates effectively at all levels within the organization
  • Ability to represent Finance to all stakeholders
  • Negotiates, persuades and influences across QBE and external network
  • Strong accounting skills
