- work with large volumes of data collected from the company databases to gain actionable insights
- identify which data and metrics are relevant to our company OKRs (Objectives & Key Results)
- collect relevant and reliable data to assist with researching consumer behaviour
- undertake necessary data cleaning to ensure data is analysis ready
- explore various trends in the data to generate valuable insights
- evaluate, understand and make sense of the data collect to create hypotheses around it for optimization
- examine customer buying trends to develop conclusive marketing strategies
- describe happenings, give reasons for their occurrence and use predictive data analytics to forecast expected trends in near future
- provide detailed reports on department OKRs (Objectives & Key Results) and ROI (Return on Investment) of marketing campaigns
- monitor competitor marketing activity

  • Examine market trends of common products to help drive competitive market strategies
  • Drive target audience and supplier research through surveys and feedback in order to get information about the latest trends in the industry
  • Use marketing analytics techniques to make sense of social media and Google Analytics data
- model and graph the effects of our marketing strategies
- communicate and report on the data analysis carried out
- use presentations, charts and graphs to display findings in a clear and concise way


Location:
Basildon, Essex

Competitive salary of £30k-£40k DOE

Hours:
Full time (42.5 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities & Skills:


Key responsibilities:

  • Data mining and manipulation collect and analyse customer data using database queries (SQL), spreadsheet (Excel) models and a data discovery and visualization tool (Qliksense)
  • Data interpretation understand why some marketing campaigns work and some don't, identify more profitable channels and make recommendations based on data collected.
Provide actionable market and customer insights to address key strategic questions.

  • Ongoing analysis continuously scrutinize customer journey communications to monitor the effectiveness of each customer touchpoint
  • Communication and presentation create Qliksense dashboards and PowerPoint presentations incorporating charts and graphs to provide market and consumer insights to Marketing Team and various stakeholders.
Advise other marketing functions (e-commerce/website,product development) as the knowledge owner for customer and market data.

  • Data list management provide customer data files to specified brief, using models such as RFM (Recency Frequency Monetary value), for marketing campaigns
  • Marketing report ownership produce and own essential business and marketing reports, develop/automate regular reports and undertake adhoc analytic requests
  • Financial projection models working collaboratively with Finance Team and Systems Data Team to assist with wider business reports and ensure consistency

Key skills:

  • Proficient in marketing research and statistical analysis
  • Excellent analytical skills and a high degree of business acumen
  • Familiar with the fundamentals of Computer Science for all stages of the data analysis process
  • SQL fluent able to access and manage data to manipulate datasets in order to get valuable insights
  • Experience of marketing tools e.g. GA (Google Analytics)
  • Knowledge of programming languages understanding and writing code
  • Strong organizational, communication and presentation skills
  • Proven ability in handling concurrent projects with attention to detail and accuracy
