Thursday in the office.


Purpose:


The Sales Development Representative has two main purposes:

  • To prospect leaders in the Life Science drug development sector and build new business for the Sales pipeline.
  • To create a pool of highly skilled salespeople and fuel internal progression opportunities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities as a Sales Development Representative:

  • To increase the revenue contribution and market penetration.
  • Responsible for generating pipeline across three pillars of new business. In this role, you will prospect leaders in the Life Science drug development sector through blended sales outreach.
  • Understand their current drug development objectives and challenges, and go into technical detail on how data and insight, can support these strategic development decisions. You should be confident and bold in the product, and challenge the prospect ontheir understanding of the competitor landscape.

Key responsibilities included as a Sales Development Representative:

  • Delivering KPIs to effectively cover the therapeutic landscape.
  • Delivering success outputs in the form of demo bookings and completed demos, ultimately leading to SDRinfluenced revenue.
  • Performing sales outreach across prospecting pillars, including event leads, developer data, marketing contacts, and LinkedIn/sales research contacts.
  • Educating the Account Manager and joining demonstrations booked by the Account Manager to increase the chance of success.

Split of the role as a Sales Development Representative:

Blended Sales Outreach: 70%

Content Generation: 15%

  • Account Mapping and Prospecting: 15%

  • Upskill yourself to become a highly valuable salesperson within the department, allowing you to progress internally.
  • Push the sales process and team forward through creativity and innovation.
  • Demonstrate the attitude and work ethic of successful salespeople.

Education and experience required as a Sales Development Representative:

  • A Life Science degree
  • Alternatively, a degree and one year of B2B or Account Manager experience may also be acceptable.
