INJECTION MOULDING SETTER (FULL-TIME) 10pm - 6am - Weekday Nightshift


We have an exciting position for an Injection Moulding Setter to join our production team working a 10pm-6am shift (40 hours per week Monday to Friday) with a level of flexibility required to cover sickness & holidays when required.

The key responsibilities of the role will be to adhere to all Health & Safety, Hygiene Regulations and Safe Working procedures to manufacture plastic containers to the following KPI's:

Minimum 85% Machine Availability

Minimum 100% Cycle Speed Efficiency

Maximum 1.3% Scrap with Zero impounds or Customer Complaints


Ensure that all customer orders are processed through the operation of the production plan as speedily and efficiently as possible, operating on a right first-time basis.


Ensure that machines are kept in a safe and hygienic state to ensure product integrity and hygiene at all phases of the production process.


Maintain accurate communication records and ensure that production issues are logged and understood with a view to always looking for continuous improvement of the process and improvement of the cell KPI performance.


Continually look to improve the operation and assist in cost saving initiatives, highlighting ideas to improve processes with assistance of cell leaders and Management.

Perform additional tasks necessary as requested by the Management team to ensure the smooth running of the site.

  • Trained in the safe operation of Injection Moulding machines.
  • Capable of conducting safe and efficient tool changes.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Techniques an advantage but not essential.
  • Skilled Communicator.
  • Strong team worker.
  • Flexibility and Prioritisation of tasks.
  • Ability to follow multiple processes and procedures correctly.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to identify areas for improvement within the Cell.
  • Computer skills i.e., basic Microsoft office competency.
  • Using setting skills and initiative to positively influence the cell performance

Experience:

Plastics Injection Moulding: 1 year (required)

  • Injection Moulding tool change: 1 year (required)

Job Types:

Salary:
£30,500.00-£33,500.00 per year
