CK Group are recruiting for a R&D Technician to join a Dyes and Inks manufacturing company based in South Yorkshire, on a full time, permanent basis.

Location:

The role is located in South Yorkshire and is easily commutable from both Sheffield, Leeds and Doncaster.

Responsibilities of this R&D Technician will include to:

Support the development of existing and new products with lab bench work by mixing components according to formulations
Support the development of new methods
Maintain accurate product development records and data files
Provide regular reports on results and activities
Assist in the scale up process from pilot to commercial production.
Develop a working knowledge of available analytical and physical testing equipment

As an R&D Technician you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

BSc degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or related science as well as 2 years of experience in materials chemistry R&D/formulations
Experience must include hands on formulation experience of new products from idea to commercialization
Experience in plastisol, silicone and/or aqueous chemistry
Knowledge of mathematics and statistical methods is especially desired.

This role will also require moderate physical activity and use of harmful chemicals, PPE will be provided wherever possible.
