An exciting opportunity has become available for a part-time Band 7 practitioner (qualified in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Supervision) to join the CAMHS Mental Health Support Team, based in Slough, 22.5 hours per week.

The Slough Mental Health Support Team (MHST) provide assessments and short-term, evidence-based therapeutic interventions to young people in Slough with mild to moderate mental health needs.

Clinicians working for the MHST service will promote the emotional wellbeing and mental health of young people in educational settings in Schools.

They will offer advice, information and support to young people and families, and consultation and training to professionals, as appropriate.

You may provide outreach support to promote engagement, where needed.

You will lead the Slough Mental Health Support Team (MHST) and work closely with your Slough Getting Help Team (GHT) colleagues and the Slough MHST/Getting Help Team Lead to provide mental health consultations and advice to partner agencies, including the Slough Early Help team, Youth Offending Teams and CAMHS pathways.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of and contribute to a creative, supportive, and innovative service. This is an important post at the interface with education settings, partner agencies and specialist CAMHS. The Mental Health Support Team sits alongside the Getting Help Team in Slough. Operational management and clinical supervision will be provided within Berkshire Healthcare CAMHS.

Clinical assessments for young people up to the age of 18 years, presenting with mild to moderate mental health problems
Shortterm, evidencebased therapeutic interventions (individual, group, family, as appropriate)
To offer training, consultation and supervision to external agencies with regards to the mental health presentation of children and young people who are accessing the MHST.
Ensuring liaison and joint working between the Getting Help / MHST and the locality Early Help Hub and specialist CAMHS services.
Use of routine outcome measures to promote active participation from young people and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
Training to professionals

Appropriate qualification as detailed in the JD and experience of working with young people with mental health difficulties
Passion for providing collaborative and evidence-based mental health care
