SHE Advisor - Meals London - Cumberland Park Royal
Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5pm
with flexibility to work one night and one weekend day per month
Competitive salary of £45,000 - £50,000 based on experience

In London, Bakkavor Meals employs over 2,400 people across three sites and a distribution centre in the Park Royal area.

These sites specialise in making chilled ready meals, houmous dips, deli products and savoury accompaniments, and are part of Bakkavor's Meals sector which has eight factories in total in the UK.


All About the Role

A great opportunity for a highly capable SHE Advisor to take responsibility for all SHE related accountabilities at Bakkavor Meals London.

In co-operation with the management team your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Ensure that the requirements of all relevant SHE legislation are followed and implemented, and that the Business complies with corporate and legal requirements at all times.
  • Ensure a positive and constructive SHE culture is prevalent throughout the Business.
  • Deliver continuous improvement in Health, Safety and Environment standards and practices year on year.

All About You

  • NEBOSH LEVEL 6 Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health OR NEBOSH Diploma in Environmental Management or equivalent or working towards an environmental equivalent qualification.
  • Proven track record of delivering H&S improvements and managing SHE function at manufacturing sites.
  • Proven experience of interaction with enforcement bodies and authorities.
  • Passionate about SHE to effectively engage with and influence people at all levels to facilitate change.
  • The ability to present information coherently, accurately and persuasively
  • PC literate
  • Experience within food manufacturing is desirable, basic knowledge of Food Hygiene & a good understanding of GMP/hygiene standards
  • Previous people management experience is desirable
