We're looking for a Senior Strategic Planner to join our Strategic Planning team in Newcastle

You'll have a knack for joining the dots between insight, strategy, and creative, and be obsessed with understanding audiences, categories & brands
:


The role:


You'll be responsible for:
Gathering insight from quantitative and qualitative sources, such as analysing search data, designing questionnaires, and conducting research interviews.

Uncovering impactful insights that are directional for strategy and creative.

Shaping insights into strategies that deliver on the client objectives.

Understanding, challenging, and probing client briefs.

Taking a channel neutral outlook, albeit with an understanding of how different channels perform/deliver against objectives.

Helping brief wider tactical teams to deliver on the agreed strategy and build a narrative across channels on activity.

Identifying opportunities for growth on retained client accounts.

Recommending and collaborating with wider teams on measuring results and setting Key Performance Indicators.

Sharing and educating the team about marketing trends.

Understanding consumer psychology and what makes people behave in certain ways.

The person:


Ideally you'll have:
3 years' experience in a marketing role that covers strategic planning for a range of different channels (rather than a specialist in one specific area)

Proven ability to produce clear, informative, and inspiring proposals and documents in both Word and PowerPoint format

Proven ability to present ideas confidently and gain buy-in from clients

A passion for understanding people and why they behave the way they do

A proven ability to effectively analyse numerical data and creative work

A flexible approach; able to bend and mold your working style to best meet the needs of a client brief

A love of learning; naturally inquisitive and a positive role model for more junior team members

Excellent time management and organisational skills

Strong attention to detail

And fantastic if you also have;
A keen interest in digital channels

Experience using social listening, search, and audience panel tools (though training will be provided)

A strong desire to learn by continually training and pursuing personal development opportunities

A great attitude and willingness to support colleagues and contribute to a positive team spirit

A passion to train and share skills with other team members and departments
