Fully Remote, Contract Role
The Role:
- Design and implement cloudbased architecture for our client to ensure efficient and scalable operation.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify the latest trends, technology advancements and best practices in cloud computing.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including product development, engineering, and customer support to understand their needs and requirements.
- Develop and maintain documentation of the cloud infrastructure, including architecture diagrams, security plans, disaster recovery plans and performance optimisation strategies.
- Ensure that the cloud infrastructure meets compliance requirements, including data privacy and security.
- Manage and maintain the cloud environment, including software updates, capacity planning, and monitoring of performance metrics.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, resolve them in a timely manner, and provide technical support to the teams when required.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate and implement cloudbased solutions for various business functions, including marketing, finance, and customer support.
- Continuously monitor the cloud infrastructure and recommend modifications to improve reliability, scalability, and security
Experience Required:
- A Cloud architect should have a deep understanding of cloud computing technologies, architecture, and deployment strategies. They should be proficient in AWS, Azure, and other cloud platforms.
- Our client deals with sensitive energy data and the Cloud architect must ensure that the data is secure and protected. They should have a strong understanding of network security, encryption, and firewall configuration.
- The Cloud architect should be familiar with DevOps practices, including continuous integration and deployment, and be able to automate processes.
- The Cloud architect should have experience with database management, including NoSQL and SQL databases, and be able to design and implement scalable databases.
- A good understanding of programming languages such as Python, Java, or Ruby is necessary for the Cloud architect to be able to develop, test, and deploy software.
- The Cloud architect should have a basic understanding of the energy industry, including solar energy, to be able to provide valuable insights and recommendations.
- The Cloud architect should be able to create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design patterns, and technical specifications.
Qualifications Required:
- A Degree in Computer Science
- Ideally experience in the Solar Sector
