    The Role

    This is an opportunity for an experienced Linux Engineer with expertise in enterprise MSP environments. Excellent communication skills are essential, as the role involves supporting and mentoring colleagues while acting as a key escalation point.

    The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience with virtualization, patch management, and managing large-scale virtualized environments. Advanced knowledge of RHEL, RHEL Satellite, VMware, and Windows Server OS management is crucial. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of client IT systems.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage, optimize, and maintain virtual server infrastructure, operating systems, and related management tools to support client services.
    • Ensure compliance with industry best practices and standards across IT environments.
    • Communicate clearly and effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
    • Maintain thorough documentation and generate performance reports.
    • Work collaboratively with the operations team to resolve issues and identify areas for process improvement.
    • Provide incident management and fulfill service requests to meet client needs.
    • Participate in on-call and out-of-hours duties as required.

    Qualifications/Skills:

    • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
    • Extensive experience in RHEL administration.
    • Strong expertise in Windows Server and Active Directory management.
    • Advanced knowledge of RHEL Satellite.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork abilities.
    • Scripting and automation experience (e.g., Ansible, PowerShell, Bash).
    • Solid understanding of networking and security principles.
    • Proven experience managing and optimizing complex IT infrastructures.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA).
    • Windows Server certifications (e.g., MCSA or equivalent).
    • VMware expertise.
    • Knowledge of SAN storage management.
    • Experience with backup tools such as Veeam or Commvault.
    • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
