Description

If you are an inspirational and empathetic leader, with substantial experience as a deputy headteacher/principal in a primary academy, and are looking for new challenges in a school where you can drive up attainment and develop learning this could be your ideal next career move.

Part of the Thames Learning Trust, we are looking for a Principal to join Phoenix Infant Academy in Slough. We are passionate about encouraging our children to be lifelong learners.

We want to give them the skills and confidence to face the future with optimism and excitement, knowing that, with hard work and determination, they can succeed.

In short, we believe in empowering opportunity - and whoever takes on this exciting role will be at the helm in doing just that.

As Principal, we will look to you to provide professional leadership and management of the Academy that will promote a secure foundation from which to achieve high standards in all areas of our work.

Whether that is effectively managing teaching and learning, promoting excellence, equality and high expectations for all pupils and staff or providing a clear vision and strategic direction, one thing's for sure - you won't be short of challenges.

From evaluating the academy's performance and identify priorities for continuous improvement to deploying resources to achieve its aims, you will be instrumental in making things happen, every step of the way.

In addition, when it comes to strengthening our parental engagement, securing the commitment of the wider community or working effectively with Trust colleagues, again, we will count on you to deliver.

To apply, you will need evidence of regular, recent and appropriate professional development for the role of Principal, a good understanding of EYFS and key stage One.

As well as outstanding teaching skills, you have a proven ability to provide guidelines and models of high-quality teaching and know how to build an excellent team and trust it to deliver.

You also have what it takes to develop strategies that encourage parents/carers to support their children's learning. In short, you are ready to take the next step in your successful career to date.
