Do you have an interest in driving a fundraising strategy to improve the supporter experience? A curiosity and genuine interest in people, and desire to understand how we can meet their motivations while growing funding in our vital work? Then join The Salvation Army as a Senior Major Donor Fundraiser and you could soon be playing a vital role at the heart of our passionate and ambitious Philanthropy team.

This crucial new role will initially focus on uplifting a significant pipeline of current supporters (those currently giving at a less than £5,000 level) who have the capacity to give five figure plus annual gifts.

You will be responsible for developing, and implementing, a strategy to organically deepen our relationships with these supporters - to uplift income in support of the vision and mission of The Salvation Army.

We are looking for long term, sustained relationships which grow and deepen over time and achieve significant additional impact and outcomes.

As this strategy is developed and moved forward, with the support of the whole major donor team, this role will evolve to branch out into a range of acquisition and stewardship.

As part of an innovative, collaborative team you will help us take philanthropy fundraising to new heights - building on our key thematic focus areas of Homelessness, Debt Advice, Employability, Modern Slavery and Anti-Human Trafficking, and supporting Communities across the whole of the UK.

Together we can go further in offering practical help for people without discrimination, standing up for those who are vulnerable, and fighting against injustice.

In the job profile you will find the criteria required for the role please make sure that you address this in your supporting statement as this forms the basis of our shortlisting.

Promoting equality in the workplace and as a disability confident scheme employer, we guarantee to interview all disabled applicants who meet the minimum criteria for the vacancy.
**_ This is a permanent position preferably based at our Headquarters currently at 101 Newington Causeway, London SE1 6BN. However, agile agreements that meet the needs of the role would be considered. Please note that in late 2023 we will be moving to our new, modern headquarters at Denmark Hill, London, SE5 8BQ._
