Mobile Soft Landscaping Team Leader
Location:
Banbury based
Description of Role:
Team Leaders work within and manage small mobile teams delivering soft landscaping services, to a wide variety of clients (for example: local authority, housing associations, house builders, private housing and corporate premises).
Duties include:
Turfing / Seeding in open spaces / Shrub and tree planting / other duties as required.
A responsible, energetic and confident team player is required.
Primary Responsibilities
Service Quality:
- Delivering high quality soft landscaping services in line with the company's commitment to quality and to all client specifications
- Guiding and mentoring a team in undertaking all tasks to a high standard
- Promoting the 4thCorner brand, Core Values and quality policy
Health & Safety:
- To understand and ensure all safety procedures and working practices are adopted within your team, to comply with the Company's Health & Safety Policy
- Production of onsite Risk Assessments, Method Statements, COSHH Assessments, when required
- Deliver weekly 'Toolbox Talks' to your teams, to ensure H&S knowledge is continually refreshed
Customer Focus:
- To provide a polite and professional service to residents/customers, handling queries and reporting issues accordingly
- Occasional facetoface communications with clients to ensure the delivery is met with approval and/or to manage problems
Team Working and Leadership:
- Motivating and organising tasks across your team, to ensure best use of time and resources.
- To work as part of a small mobile team in the delivery of services
Safe use of equipment and resources:
- To use and ensure proper maintenance and care of equipment
- To ensure materials are stored and used appropriately
- To ensure that all machinery is kept safe and secure when on site and when returned to the depot
Driving:
- Daily driving of a mobile route, making best use of time
- Responsible for refuelling, basic maintenance and van safety checks.
- Reporting defects to the office for further mechanical maintenance.
- Trailer towing, loading and coupling/uncoupling
IT & communications
- Able to communicate with teams and office efficiently
Responsibility:
- Using fuel cards to ensure vans are fuelled.
- Using company credit card responsibly and within the guidelines of the Company Credit Card Use policy.
- Attend regular Team Leader meetings
Essential:
Driving Licence
Desirable:
PA1 & PA6 LANTRA/City&Guilds Skills Certificates
ROLO H&S, First Aid at Work Certificate CITB Test/CSCS card Pedestrian & Ride-on Mowing, Strimming, Trailer Towing, Small tractor / Blec-seeder / Rotavator
Experience
1 Year as a Skilled Operative (T3) or comparable external experience
Qualities and Attitude
You must work well in a small team, be able to direct and support your team on site and at the depot.
