Overview:
The successful applicant will join the Development Team based in our Birmingham Office to support with the delivery of professional development and general practice services to a wide range of public sector, private sector and third sector clients.
The successful applicant will receive full APC support, training from industry leading experts and opportunities for long term career progression.
The Team
You will be joining a successful, close knit and supportive team currently based in central Birmingham.
The team provides development and general practice advice across the following disciplines:
development appraisals, valuation, agency, development consultancy, viability assessments, expert witness, strategic land advice, Landlord & Tenant and leasing and letting.
Our clients include, but are not limited to local governments, combined authorities, charities, and private sector clients. We work closely with national and regional developers, and you will have an opportunity to grow your network.Main Responsibilities
- Achieve full membership of the RICS by completing the Graduate Surveyor Programme and RICS Assessment of Professional Competence.
- Support the team in providing high quality development consultancy advice to a wide range of clients and support the provision of general practice skillsets including valuation (both residential and commercial), Landlord & Tenant, disposals and leasing and lettings.
- Assist in delivery of services to clients accurately and on time
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Person Specification
The successful applicant will be a self-motivated team player, possessing good communication and analytical skills, with an attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications:
An RICS accredited degree in a relevant discipline to at least a 2:1 or post graduate equivalent
Essential Criteria:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Good interpersonal skills and the confidence to communicate effectively
- Personable style with the necessary confidence and ambition to grow your career as we achieve our plans to successfully grow the client base
- A selfmotivated, team player with a drive to achieve personal and business targets.
- Good organisation skills
- General IT proficiency including use of Microsoft Office
- Manage time effectively, prioritising tasks to ensure deadlines are met
- Learn new skills and working methods and be adaptable to change
- Accept responsibility and, within parameters defined by the immediate performance manager, work on own initiative as required
