An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Women's Services Maternity Administration Team in the role of Patient Administration Clerk working within the Women and Newborn Unit at Bradford Royal Infirmary.
You will have a high standard of communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with staff at all levels.
To assist colleagues with workload, providing administrative support relating to the Consultants, Midwives, Nursing staff, and their teams
Provide Reception cover and effectively communicate with patients, visitors and staff face to face.
To input clinical/administrative data such as referrals, booking outpatient appointments, and entering inpatient activity
Works in close liaison with secretaries and assists in the smooth running of the department to undertake other clerical duties as delegated by the colleagues as and when required.
Cover for colleagues during periods of sickness, annual leave or training which may include management of own workload when necessary for short periods of time throughout the year (with support and guidance from seniors when required).
Required to receive and manage telephone and personal enquiries, often of a sensitive nature in a constructive and sympathetic manner, referring to the appropriate person where necessary and rerouting these calls when required.
