Accounts Receivable Administrator/Credit Control


The main purpose of the role is to process and manage payments received and to provide related accounting and administrative support.

The role is also responsible for managing credit control for the business.


The role:


  • Analyse cash and bank receipts and allocate to Sales Ledger
  • Check and administer 'Customers on hold' report and action appropriately
  • Liaise with customer/Sales Account Manager on invoice/payment queries
  • Actively follow up with customers for payments in line with agreed terms etc.
  • Liaise with Quality and Customer Services to solve customer queries
  • Credit checks on new and existing customers as and when required
  • Preparation and reconciliation of customer statements
  • Work with management regarding debit note acceptance etc.
  • Reconciliation of Sales Ledger, monthly, and report to Financial Controller
  • Analysis of Aged Debtors on a monthly basis
  • Assist in financial month end close
  • Provide cover for Purchase Ledger as and when required
  • Contribute to COS and continuous improvement activities
  • Undertake training as identified by the post holder and/or line manager
  • Demonstrate commitment to learning and development by taking part in development opportunities
  • Support other team members with training and guidance if required
  • To work within the policies and procedures the company and legislative rules and regulations
  • Contribute to overall business success
  • Carry out other duties as reasonably required by the business and within the capabilities of the employee
  • This role is office based with the scope for hybrid working arrangements

The person:

You will have previous credit control experience, preferably gained within a manufacturing environment.

  • 33 days annual leave (inclusive of 8 bank holidays) per holiday year.
