Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant - Peckham

Got experience as a Youth Support Worker? Live close to Peckham?
This is a full time role, from Monday to Friday position (08:30 - 16:00). No previous experience working in a school required, provided that you have a passion for working with children and have worked with children in some capacity and can provide a referencerelating to this role with children

The role:


  • Support secondary aged students with autism and special educational needs
  • Contribute to creating a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment
  • Ensure safety for pupils in and out of class
  • Willing to complete training on how best to support students with SEN
  • Communicate closely with colleagues to ensure progress of students is prioritised

Requirements:

Available Immediately for a fulltime position:

  • Willingness to learn what it takes to support SEN children
  • Must have good behaviour management skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Live local to Peckham or within a commutable distance
  • Either have an Enhanced DBS or be willing to get one processed
