We proactively provide education, information, advice and guidance to people of all ages, helping them to manage their money well and increase their Financial Wellbeing.

We believe that being on top of your money as a part of everyday life reduces stress and hardship, helps you achieve your goals and live a happier life as a result, so we empower people across the UK to build the skills, knowledge, attitudes and behaviours to make the most of their money throughout their lives.

About The Role

A core strand of The Money Charity's offering is helping adults in their place of work or in their local community to build the skills, knowledge, attitudes and behaviours to manage their money well.

As part of this we are partnering with another organisation in their delivery of a 2 year pilot of the DWP's Mid

  • Life MOT Programme in workplaces in the North East of England.

The Programme has been designed to encourage and enable people to stay in work longer and enjoy a more secure retirement through helping them take stock of their Work, Wealth and Wellbeing.

The Money Charity is providing the Wealth pillar of the Programme, which aims to help employees aged 45-55 gain knowledge of their current financial position and the likely retirement outcomes it is likely to translate to, e.g.

by getting a State Pension Forecast; contacting their known pension provider to find out the value of their pension pots; and getting some scenarios on what sort of retirement income they will provide, assuming current level of contributions.
