Maths Teacher Wanted for Secondary SEN School - Specialising in Autism.

Are you a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher open to working with students with Autism? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you

Roles and Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver effective Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4 to students with Autism, taking into account individual learning styles and abilities.
Develop and implement IEPs (Individual Education Plans) and monitor progress against targets.
Manage behaviour effectively, ensuring all students are engaged and participating in lessons.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting independence and encouraging students to take responsibility for their own learning.
Communicate regularly with parents and carers, providing feedback on students' progress and addressing any concerns or issues.
Work collaboratively with other teachers and support staff, sharing best practices and resources to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students.

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience working with students with Autism in a mainstream or SEN school setting.
A sound knowledge of the Maths curriculum, including the ability to differentiate for students with a range of abilities.
Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and involve parents and carers in the education process.

This will be a full time, long-term position starting immediately till the end of the academic year. There will be an opportunity to go permanent upon review. The position will be paid to scale according to your experience.
