Senior Transport Planner (General) - Liverpool

Due to continued growth Denholm UK Logistics has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Transport Planner to join their team based in Liverpool.

As a Senior Transport Planner you will be working from our offices in Liverpool City Centre as part of a central planning function to maximise revenues via routing efficiencies whilst ensuring profitability across our UK General delivery model.

Maintaining excellent communication at all levels to ensure a high standard of return and customer satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities

To oversee and manage the planning of vehicles efficiently and cost effectively, satisfying customer needs whilst ensuring that all appropriate legislation and regulations are adhered to.

Plan your allocated resource pool legally, compliantly and efficiently ensuring all EU and WTD legislation is achieved.
Achieve daily / weekly KPI's and targets with regards to revenue and cost.
Monitor and manage the planning team to ensure fleet utilisation is optimal.
Monitor and manage the daily plan to ensure maximum revenue is achieved.
Maintain the information entered into TMS / TOPS to the required standard to keep data recording as live as possible.
Report all non conformances to customers in a timely manner.
Liaise with customers to agree additional charges accordingly tolls, demurrage, wasted journey's etc.
Plan other resource when required for holiday cover etc.
Daily contact with depots and Operations Departments to communicate as required.

What will I need to be considered for this role of Transport Planner?

Proven experience of working in a busy transport planning operation and dealing with drivers
Previous experience of leading a planning team
IT literate with knowledge of using TMS. TOPS knowledge would be highly desirable
The ability to multi task and prioritise tasks is a must
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Versatility and ability to work under own initiative and as a team.
An excellent geographical knowledge of the UK

Salary:
£30,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
