We are Two Magpies Bakery, an award-winning company with sites across Suffolk & Norfolk. We are looking for a talented individual with a passion for pastry to join our Pastry team.

It Is necessary for the successful applicant to be able to demonstrate experience in working in a high quality catering business and to have management experience within a kitchen team.

This is an exciting time to join Two Magpies Bakery as we are expanding and can offer opportunities for growth and development.

The main responsibilities of the role include:

Work with the Head of Pastry/Assistant Head of Pastry to ensure the smooth day to day running of the department
Ordering in the Head of Pastry/Assistant Head of Pastry's absence
Product/Produce stock control I.E keeping an eye on product stock levels and working with the Head of Pastry to ensure that product and produce stock is kept on top of
Ensure that the daily tasks of the team are completed to the best of your knowledge and to carry over any jobs that are not completed to the following days list
Help other members where needed & answer any questions to help them complete their job list. Assist with the training of new team members.
Be responsible for the organisation and cleanliness of the kitchen, fridges and freezers
Quality control of products being sent to sites, and not sending what isn't good enough
Being a leader for the team (in the absence of Head/Assistant Head of pastry) setting a positive atmosphere, motivating and encouraging the team
Filling in the logbooks
To provide innovation and be forthcoming with ideas to improve the department and operation
A passion for the industry & all things pastry
