Teaching Assistant - Temporary - Start September Newhaven, East Sussex - 8:15am - 3:15pm - £76 per day minimum

Pink Tile Education are recruiting a Teaching Assistant to support individual needs (1:1) for our client, a fantastic, forward-thinking & ambitious primary school in Newhaven.

The pupil who would need support is often out of the class and you will need to meet the child at drop off and drop to parents at the end of the day.

You will support the team in providing an opportunity for your designated young person to engage and enjoy the core curriculum, as well as other activities.

£76 per day minimum (£11.68 per hour).


Requirements:


  • Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willing to obtain one
  • Resilience
  • Understanding of vulnerable young people & how to approach sensitive situations
  • Able to adapt to the different needs of each student
  • Confident working with children & young people in SEN/SEMH
  • Experience working with children & young people (desired)
  • Experience working with children & young people in SEN (desired)

Responsibilities:


  • Support class teacher
  • Support the pupils with their tasks/activities & wellbeing
  • Understand individual needs of each student & adapt approach accordingly
