The Role
Due to internal promotion, we are looking for a Sales Support Assistant to join our team.

Based within our Norwich offices, you will be working as part of a successful, dynamic, and proactive sales team with ambitious growth targets and a passion for best-in-class customer service.


Reporting into the Commercial Director, your primary focus is to support the sales team in managing day to day customer requests, processing sales orders, managing customer samples and follow up, and general administration.


Essential qualities for this role include strong organisation skills, excellent communication skills, strong IT skills, "can do" attitude and the ability to work with accuracy and pace.

This will be a varied role so being able to work under pressure and with time constraints is essential.

The hours of work on this role are 8:30am - 4:30pm with a 45-minute lunch break and a 4:15pm finish on a Friday (36 hour contract).

Pasta Foods is the UK's only short cut dry pasta manufacturer, which supplies a wide range of pasta products into the manufacturing and foodservice sectors.

The company also owns one of only two semolina mills in the UK which supplies our semolina which is used within their pasta production and provides the highest level of assurance to their customers.

Responsibilities:


  • Overseeing and processing customers sales orders, tracking sales vs budget
  • Setting up, managing, and tracking promotional activity
  • Liaising with Operations to ensure stock availability
  • Highlight any market insights into the team to help shape future strategy
  • Responsible for the samples process, which involves selecting, sending with appropriate information products for NPD projects or sales enquiries
  • Following up on customer samples, new product developments or outstanding projects
  • Day to day management and quick resolution of customer queries
  • Support the sales team with all admin requests responding in an efficient and timely manner
  • Maintain customer records including price forms, contact details etc
  • Develop relationships across all functions of the business
  • Supporting in organising and attending trade events
  • Experience in a fastpaced sales environment, ideally within the food industry
  • Good level of education ideally 5 GCSEs (Grades 4 and above) or equivalent, including Maths and English
  • Excellent IT skills with Excel, word and PowerPoint
  • Confidence and a strong sense of direction
  • Ability to demonstrate high activity levels and effort
  • Ability to work on own initiative with "can do" attitude
  • A hunger for prospecting new customers and identifying business opportunities

Salary £20,000 to £25,000 per annum depending on experience.
