About the role
We are now seeking an Editor and Content Specialist to join our team in Edinburgh.

In the role you'll be responsible for ensuring accurate, error-free modules within the Learning Management System, mainly Moodle and Canvas, and ensure the availability of resources and information.

You'll collaborate effectively with the Editorial team based in Australia to deliver on objectives within agreed timeframes.


In this role, you will;

  • Collaborate effectively with internal Learning Design team and other key stakeholders
  • Effectively manage and prioritise the workload and responsibilities to ensure quality module delivery to ensure consistent errorfree module delivery and a high quality student experience
  • Take responsibility for QA processes and timelines
  • Set timelines and deadlines for content delivery of individual modules, in conjunction with LDs.
  • Advocate use of editorial style guide by the Learning Design team
  • Working closely with the Learning Design team, providing personalised feedback on editorial/style issues for specific University partners and modules
  • Proofread online content prelaunch
- identifying priority modules (and learning designers) that require more online editorial input/assistance


Requirements:

Skills Required;

  • Experience in the use of Word, PowerPoint, PDF, and HTML Experience of working in canvas and moodle would be an advantage.
  • High attention to detail (experience as a proofreader or editor would be advantageous)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in both Harvard and APA referencing systems
  • High level personal organisational skills and ability to work independently
  • Track record of meeting tight timelines
  • Demonstrate capability to be a cooperative team member
