Description
The Trust's Patient First Management System is our lean management system.

It is the operating system by which we efficiently deliver and improve our services every day, at every level, across the organisation.

The aim of implementing and embedding Patient First is to develop our teams and their ability to problem solve, utilizing a system of tools, guided by our Trust values and respectful behaviours.

Continuous improvement is a major part of Patient First, ensuring that every employee is involved in the process of improving.

This system supports delivery of exceptional quality every day.

This is achieved through development of a culture that is a respectful, inclusive and invites improvement participation at every layer of our organisation, regardless of job role or profession.


The postholder is responsible for supporting these efforts by collaborating with clinical and operational leaders at all levels to drive sustainable continuous improvement processes through the organisation.

This will include respectfully challenging the status quo in order to consistently deliver improvements in our processes and the care we provide.


The overall purpose of the role is to provide support for the deployment and maturing of the Patient First Management System across the Trust.

This may include delivering training, facilitation of workshops, coaching leaders and staff in all elements of the management system and taking a key role in ongoing assessments of teams' maturity in utilizing Patient First.

The role may also include organising and facilitating multi-disciplinary teams during the life cycle of improvement activity and require appropriate levels of governance e.g.

Gateway reviews, stakeholder management etc.


This postholder is expected to develop professional relationships that support a strong focus on improvement and the behavioral growth needed to deliver our Strategic Initiatives, through embedment of Patient First.

This will be accomplished through ongoing training, mentorship and coaching of individuals at all levels on continuous improvement methods and theory to ensure delivery and sustainability of their business and improvement work.

Location

Situated in Edmonton, North London with a multi-cultural community, the area provides a wide range of facilities and is close to the heart of London.

Central London is easily accessible, with Liverpool Street and Kings Cross approximately 30 minutes away by public transport.
