Deputy Head of Pension Fund
Job description

We are recruiting for a Deputy Head of Pension Fund to join the award-winning Royal County of Berkshire Pension Fund as a key member of the Fund's strategic management team.


The Fund is on a major transformation journey of improving governance, communications, funding levels and investment strategy and strive to be one of highest performing over the next few years.

We are looking for an ambitious manager actively looking to be part of this journey


The postholder will oversee and be responsible for the work of four key teams; Administration, Communications, Payroll and Technical and will act as deputy to the Head of Pension Fund in all related investment and finance matters.


A key part of the role will involve bringing together and looking after the interests of our key stakeholders (Employers, Active/Deferred/Retired scheme members, the Administering Authority, the Scheme Actuary, Investment Managers, Auditors, and the Custodian Bank) whilst overseeing the strategic management of the wider pension fund team.


The Pension Fund team currently consists of 27 staff, and you will be directly responsible for the line management of 4 direct reports as well as the wider team when deputising for the Head of Fund.


If you have experience managing multiple stakeholder groups and are from either a Pensions Administration, Finance or Investment background, we want to hear from you.


Salary:
£60,800.00-£66,563.00 per year
