Social Media Communications Officer

15 Hours per Week Job Share, Home-Based with some travel for meetings within Yorkshire & North East

Are you social media savvy and ready for a new and exciting challenge? Move the Masses is looking for a dynamic and creative Communications Officer to join our team and make a real difference to people across Yorkshire and the North East.

Move the Masses is an exciting charity operating across Yorkshire and the North East of England.

Our Move Mates projects support people to get out walking, improving mental and physical health and reducing loneliness and isolation.

Our projects make a real difference supporting some of the most isolated people in our local communities.

As our Social Media Communications Officer you'll be tasked with increasing awareness of Move the Masses and our Move Mate projects by creating and scheduling impactful content to use across our social media platforms.

You'll respond to social media messages and comments, share updates and news on our platforms and design engaging campaigns to raise awareness of our work.

The role is primarily home based and can be located anywhere throughout the Yorkshire and North East of England with bi monthly travel to one of our project locations (York, Leeds, Durham, Pocklington & Selby).

The role is a 15 hour job share with our Marketing & Communications Officer.

We are open to a wide range of working patterns but in order to provide coverage for our social media accounts need the hours worked over a minimum of three days, including two days out of Wednesday, Thursday or Friday (eg 5 hours for 3 days a week, 3.75 hours for 4 days a week, 1x 7.5 day and 2 x 3.75 a week).

Salary £22,000 per annum pro rata plus 5% Pension contribution
