Job Introduction

Our Skanska Costain STRABAG joint venture team is working in partnership with HS2 to deliver the new London tunnels from Euston to West Ruislip.

Our joint venture team is working on sites at Euston, Old Oak Common and West Ruislip, building tunnels 13 miles long and up to 50m deep, supporting delivery of HS2 phase one.

We are looking for a Reinforcement Co-Ordinator to join our HS2 team onsite in London.

You will be responsible for the co-ordination of the parties involved in the production and review of rebar detailing packages.

Main Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for managing certain FRC scope for Area East liaising with the Rebar Design Manager who will be setting priorities each week to be focused on.
  • Ensure members of the FRC team are completing their actions on time to stick to programme requirements.
  • Ensure all Design/DIV and CAT3 certificates are completed and approved in timely manner.
  • Ensuring there is collaboration between Design Team & Construction teams, communicating FCDs raised by the Construction team back to the Design team.
  • Ensure that Document Control are completing actions in time in line with Programme requirements.
  • Facilitate meetings between all parties, Delivery teams, Design teams and CAT3 checker.
  • Understand the Client and Joint Venture Partners' Environment and Sustainability Policies, Processes and statutory requirements as they affect the company's operations and ensure that the requirements, as applicable within their discipline, are implemented on the project.
  • SMSTS
  • CSCS
  • Experience managing the rebar detailing process
  • Experience in rebar detailing and FRC (Formwork Reinforced Concrete) delivery on site
  • Experience mentoring and coaching others
  • Knowledge of NEC3 Contract Mechanisms

The Skanska | Costain | STRABAG (SCS JV) is delivering the HS2 London Tunnels Contract.

Scope of works includes twin-bored tunnels (TBM), SCL tunnels, shaft sinking, bridge demolition and reconstruction, services diversions, earthworks and the construction of site compounds.

It is an SCSJV requirement that all employees, Design House, and Supply Chains must implement and comply with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System with guidance for use", OHSAS 18001:2017 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems and ISO/IEC 27001:2013 Information Security Management System, Policies, Plans, Procedures and Processes, and statutory requirements as they affect the Joint Venture 's operations and ensure that the requirements, as applicable within their discipline, are effectively implemented on the project.
