Purpose of the role:

The Poultry worker will be responsible for the bird welfare of the flock. This is an ideal opportunity to advance a career within our Agriculture operations at our Homefield Farm, Billingshurt.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Working in poultry houses, i.e. walking the sheds, laying shavings, handling chickens etc.
Collecting, screening and packing eggs onto trays, including completion of paperwork.
Looking after bird welfare including feeding.
General farm duties such as ground maintenance including use of equipment.

Working Hours:

8 Hours Monday - Friday and 7 Hours on Saturday

What we are looking for:

Intermediate level of numeracy and literacy essential.
Manual handling training desirable.
Previous experience of working in an agriculture environment or similar position desirable.
Poultry welfare certificate desirable.
NVQ Level 2 in livestock production (or equivalent) desirable.
