    Purpose of the Role:

    This role aims to hire a Senior Legal Counsel to collaborate across our healthcare, social care, and education businesses. The successful candidate will manage a team of lawyers, primarily supporting the business' contracting needs and activities with customers.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    The Senior Legal Counsel will lead high-value contract negotiations and support a wider team on managing contract renewals and amendments. Key responsibilities include:

    • Liaising with the sales and bid management teams to ensure seamless legal support.
    • Designing and implementing legal/commercial processes to enhance efficiency.
    • Providing expert advice to the Senior Management Team on various ad-hoc legal matters and contract approval process.

    Requirements:

    To be successful, you should possess a degree and hold a legal professional qualification, ideally as a Solicitor. Strong negotiation skills, experience in public sector contracts, and knowledge of commercial bidding and tendering processes are desired.

    Essential Skills:

    • Proven experience working in-house or within the healthcare or public sectors.
    • Excellent writing proficiency and attention to detail.
    • Negotiation ability and comfort representing System C in contract negotiations.
    • Strong organisation and time management skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint.
