Senior Financial Accountant, Guildford, £60-70k + Benefits / Hybrid Working

Working for the Technology wing of this large International business in a newly created role, as Senior Financial Accountant in the Accounting, Tax and treasury Department you will be involved in all closing and reporting including control and coordinationof branches and subsidiaries in a number of countries globally, as well as all topics concerning corporate taxation, value added tax and treasury.

You will be responsible for co-ordinating and overseeing respective SSC Accounting, Tax & Treasury teams in the region.

In addition, you will be the key contact for central inquiries related to the deliverables prepared by the respective teams in alignmentwith the Head of Regional Accounting & Projects and the Head of Finance.

You should have a sound knowledge of accounting under IFRS and local GAAP in UK and ideally, Ireland. You should also have experience in the field of accounting of end-to-end processes.

In your job you will support and perform closing activities, includingliaison with key departments in UK and Ireland entities, support the development and implementation of new processes and controls, provide sound technical advice on multiple GAAP accounting.

Key responsibilities will include month end, balance sheet reviews, revenue and cost recognition, statutory reporting to companies house and HMRC, asset accounting as well as liaising with the controlling team and with the payroll department as well as otherproject work.

In addition to your technical accounting experience and knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP, independence, self motivation, a detail conscious and analytical approach and the ability to work using your initiative will definitely help you to achieve successin this varied and challenging role.

There is a strong preference for someone to have used SAP or another ERP.
