Acorn by Synergie is recruiting on behalf of their client for an Assistant Cleaning Manager, to ensure the contract operates within H&S policies and procedures, and in line with COSHH & Risk Assessments.
Job Duties:
- The role requires a constant focus on maintaining high standards within a demanding environment, a focus on continuous improvement is essential and a proven track record within the waste management and cleaning sector will be required.
- To effectively manage and monitor all aspects of the Cleaning on Site. (Including Weekends)
- To actively manage, review, monitor and improve cleaning services throughout the contract.
- To effectively manage within budgetary constraints
- To deliver SLA and KPIs as set out by the client contract to minimise and remove payment penalties due to failure to achieve targets.
- To actively improve standards throughout the business via review of cleaning schedules, products and process with an aim to achieve highest standards.
- To support the Contract Manager in formulation of monthly review documents/reports for client information outlining targets, operational issues, H&S, HR, improvements, finances etc.
- To recruit, train, develop and motivate staff, creating an internal succession plan.
- To manage all personnel within your area and to ensure that adequate products, equipment and materials are available to the contract standard.
- To ensure that products, equipment and materials are properly stored, used, maintained and controlled and purchased in accordance with company procedures.
- To develop a culture of trust and cooperation within the wider contract.
- Experience in a similar role
- BICS qualification preferred
- Knowledge of COSHH and ideally IOSH qualified
- Strong people management skills/ Qualification
- Good attention to detail and high standards of work
- Strong communication skills essential for client liaison
- Management of cleaning environment covering both education and commercial areas.
- Previous full budget accountability including management of a team in excess of 15 employees is essential.
Must be available Monday-Sunday
Driving licence is essential for this role due to travelling between sites.
You will have access to a laptop, phone and vehicle.
