What you will do

  • Create the forward vision e.g. forecast for the next 310 years, to truly evolve the design and function of workplace spaces, it's contribution and positioning as part of Ericsson and Real Estate.
  • Bring thought leadership and innovation. Have the drive to stretch the boundaries of workplace function and design.
  • Work in tandem with other members of GWCI team on the overall research and development into workplace/ experience relationship, contributing design strategy expertise to solutions.
  • Establish areas of design development to research and investigate, with the view of incorporating into main model.
  • Develop clear principles and framework for implementation of design strategy inc. components such as tools, reference platform, playbook, schedules and supporting documentation as required by delivery teams.
  • Determine how the centralised design strategy and components will be supported by external third party specialists (if required).
  • Ensure design strategy and output is supported with suitable narrative and explanation to aid end users both Real Estate teams and the wider Ericsson audience.
  • Own the framework for the evaluation of design solutions (incorporated into wider evaluation or insight models where applicable).
  • If required, run due diligence on need for design tiers and categorisation creating fit for purpose strategies for different styles of employees and sites.
  • Develop relationships with parties responsible for implementation of design at tactical and operational level, plus supporting third parties, seeking their input and feedback on user experience of design tools and model.
  • Collaborate with other Real Estate units and teams on questions & challenges associated with design concept & solution

You will bring

  • Experience in traditional architect or design director roles, preferably demonstrating a transition or more recent activity in strategy/ design strategy/ consultation of inhouse workplace design teams
- or similar

  • Experience in holistic design strategy would be preferable e.g. total experience solutioning including, workplace design, technology integration, digital service integration.
  • Confident in producing tangible output including strategy, plans, assessments etc in a timely manner.
  • Experience leading teams and working with external parties contributing to development and delivery of workplace and design.
  • Preferably Europe based.
  • Market profile and good network to incorporate innovative and thought leadership.
  • Demonstrable track record of working across multi locations, cultures & demographics.
  • Setting strategic directions, delivering results and drive to innovate & improve
