What does our corporate finance team do?

Our team is one of the most active corporate finance advisers in the UK, advising on more than 1,000 deals in the past five years.

Our national network is broadly split into eight distinct services, one of which is data analytics.

Transactions Data Analytics

The Transactions Data Analytics (TDA) team works across several different client service offerings, including financial due diligence, forensics and investigations and M&A, as well as driving internal innovation.

The work involves utilising analytics tools to drive innovation by doing what we already do more efficiently, enabling us to discover deeper insights and produce higher quality outputs.

The TDA team forms part of the wider Specialist Advisory Services team which also contains the financial modelling, valuations, and forensic investigations teams.

As part of the TDA team you will get the opportunity to work closely with a wide range of the teams within corporate finance team, in particular, financial due diligence team, supporting them on both sell and buy side transactions by building dynamic interactive dashboards and driving efficiencies by supporting with the data elements of a diligence engagement.

If successful in being invited to one of our assessment centres, your skills and experience will be assessed through various exercises on the day.

What we look for

We're on the lookout for students with a 'can-do' attitude who are prepared to work hard and take on high levels of responsibility.

We also look for team players who enjoy interacting with others and are curious about how businesses work.

At its core the TDA team's work is utilising analytics tools to solve client problems and therefore an analytical mindset and approach to problem solving is key.

You'll be working on multiple projects at the same time, so time management and organisational skills are key.

Confidence with numbers and business awareness is a must, but you'll also need excellent communication skills and be able to forge strong working relationships with people from all backgrounds.

Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is essential.

If that sounds like you, we know you'll enjoy being part of our team.
