Description

Our client is seeking an experienced
Warehouse OPerative / Controller to join their growing, dynamic manufacturing business based in
Cheadle Heath (SK3).



The overall purpose of the Warehouse Operative / Controller role.


The
Warehouse Controller is to be the focal point between the factory, operations & contracts to facilitate the goods in & goods out including the loading and unloading of vehicles.

The role will involve being methodical, organised, and hands-on to ensure the smooth running of the warehouse.

Use of the forklift truck will be a fundamental part of the job and being computer literate is a pre-requisite.

This is to be a split role, the remainder of the time would be spent assisting in various departments such as the paint shop, polishing shop, cutting and drilling, and assembly.


Skills and experience required:


  • Maintain and develop company ethos, reputation, and values.
  • Receive goods, and check delivery notes against items received. Also, check the quality of the product.
  • Book materials in on Sage and or Smartsheet.
  • Identify each product and label it as stock or with the project number and locate in the warehouse ready for dispatch or move it to the relevant department for storage.
  • Updating the project management systems with the goods in detail.
  • Stock materials to be placed in racks using the forklift.
  • Good housekeeping of the warehouse and storage areas.
  • Responsible for dispatch and ensuring products for each project are identified in a location prior to vehicle loading.
  • Liaising with operations for delivery notes and job cards.
  • Organising goods for dispatch.
  • Coordinating multidrop deliveries.
  • Packaging of products for nextday carrier collections
  • Loading of vehicles with products.
  • Assisting in the various manufacturing departments when needed. Inclusive paint shop, cutting and drilling, assembly.

Your contract and benefits on starting:

  • Salary £23000 per annum.
  • Fulltime Monday to Friday.
  • 29 Days holiday, including Bank Holidays.
  • Companybased stakeholder pension.
  • Onsite parking.

Due to the nature of the business, no holidays can be taken during August. Please be aware of this before applying.
