An exciting opportunity has arisen for a community engagement officer with experience in the further education sector to join our team at PHX Training.


We are looking to develop relationships with local referral partners and employers and to meet their training and recruitment needs through the delivery of mutiple programmes.

You will have experience of identifying and maximising opportunities within businesses and stakeholders.

You will be responsible for identifying and winning new business through effective engagement activity, whilst developing relationships with existing employers and stakeholders to maximise account development and will play a central role in achieving company aims by helping generate awareness and interest in our courses amongst carefully chosen stakeholders and employers.


The post is based in the centre although there may be a need to travel from time to time for meetings in other centres across Cumbria and Lancs.


Responsibilities

  • Research prospective stakeholders and companies in targeted markets, pursue leads and follow through to a successful outcome
  • Establish and maintain strong, longlasting relationships with stakeholders and employers to support the achievement of targets
  • Ownership of Regional Business Development plan to target new and existing employers and stakeholders in sector / geography
  • Support employers in your Region as the first point of contact to deliver effective account management and maximise business opportunities
  • Build relationships with other team members to generate new opportunities from existing employers and stakeholders
  • Timely follow up and conversion of leads and referrals
  • Process and manage all Learner documentation, striving for right firsttime enrolments in line with Quality and Compliance standards
  • Engagement with the Marketing Officer to identify and execute localised campaigns, contributing to social media activity and attending networking events
  • Active promotion and communication of programmes to all internal and external stakeholders including Local Authorities, Local Enterprise Partnerships, Provider Networks, Growth Hubs, Chambers of Commerce etc

Person Specification

  • Experience in the welfare to work, Apprenticeship or further education sector
  • Extensive experience of developing new business opportunities, with a B2B focused sales experience
  • Experienced sales professional with track record of exceeding sales targets in a fastpaced environment
  • Proven communicator, with the ability to engage and nurture relationships across a wide range of sectors
  • Demonstratable ability to interpret individual requirements, influencing and negotiation in a sales environment to build and maintain business relationships
  • Competent at creating and delivering Sales presentations to win new business
  • Monitoring your own Business Development performance in line with role KPIs, ensuring that a consistent, ongoing sales pipeline is identified, leading to the achievement of targets
  • Excellent organisational skills, with emphasis on priorities and goal setting
  • Competent in the use and purpose of technology with strong IT skills in Microsoft office, learner management systems and CRM.
  • UK Driving Licence with own means of transport. (Expenses paid)

Size and Scope

  • This role will involve team working to promote best practise and leadership of a focus driven business

This role will require a standard clearance from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
