Network Engineer/ 3rd Line Support

Venn Group is working with an esteemed organisation in London who are recruiting for 3rd Line Support Engineers or Network Engineers on a contract basis to work at their London based sites.


Day rate:
£350 - £500 inside IR35 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
**Location: fully on site in London

Length: 6 months
Job responsibilities include:

  • Oversee works and processes (Data centres, Communication Rooms etc)
  • Deliver IT services across the organisation to agreed service standards
  • Manage the resolution of Network incidents and service requests
  • Raise and execute Change Requests in adherence with the Change Control process
  • Create and maintain all IT Technical Spaces documentation, processes, inventories and tools
  • Supporting delivery of technological change across the IT Technical Space infrastructure
  • Supporting the security, resilience, backup and monitoring of the IT Technical Space infrastructure
  • Identifying and undertaking Service Improvements and New Ideas in line with the Network / IT strategy and roadmap
  • Provide support and cover for the other Network Engineer roles
  • Work closely with 3rd Party Providers transitioning services and solutions into the BAU environment
  • Experience working within data centres and communication room environments or as a Network Engineer
  • Experienced in delivering aspects within infrastructure related projects
  • Data Centre / Comms Room Management Accreditations or hold a Cisco Networking accreditation (CCNA/ CCT/ CCNP)
  • Operational experience of DCIM / Inventory management tools
  • Must be prepared to trave across one or more sites in a day (that are within walking distance of each other)
