    Structures Engineer


    Contract Position:
    £35 - £43 Per Hour
    Sector: Automotive
    Working Hours: Weekdays

    Purpose and Objectives

    1. Work independently to contribute effectively towards team and group objectives.
    2. Take ownership and responsibility for tasks or projects assigned by line manager or senior/lead engineers.
    3. Provide support to peers within the group and seek help from other engineers when needed.
    4. Contribute to the development and implementation of structural performance.
    5. Support the company's primary objective of delivering high-performance programmes.

    Primary Responsibilities

    1. Undertake structural analysis tasks in support of the Structures Group and Design Office requirements.
    2. Provide support for all design groups on structural analysis and optimisation topics.
    3. Identify mass-efficient structures to improve performance.
    4. Minimise costs while maintaining good quality design, processes, and development.

    Required Skills and Knowledge

    1. Good working knowledge of finite element analysis (FEA) and structural hand calculations.
    2. Experience with relevant FEA software.
    3. Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant field.
    4. Flexible attitude and ability to work as part of a team in a demanding environment.
    5. Experience in Formula One or high-level Motorsport environments is desirable.
