Senior Defended Case Handler

Northampton (hybrid)

£32,250 - £37,500 DOE

About the role

As a Senior Defended Case Handler, you'll be accountable for management of all escalated cases within the Litigation process, pre and post judgment, managing the full 360 process from issuing claim to resolution or enforcement.

Offering senior expert guidance on contentious cases, you'll liaise with other departments across the business to identify when cases need to be escalated via the litigation process.

Working closely with DRAX internal legal department to support on reputational impacts, you'll provide high level detailed reporting directly into Head of department & Business lead.

You'll act as process expert for the department, sharing technical knowledge through structured and informal methods aiding upskilling of the wider department workforce.

About you

To be successful in this role, you'll be experienced in process improvements with the ability to identify opportunity to improve performance and/or processes to release capacity benefits back to the business.

You'll need a minimum of 2 years practical Litigated Collections experience, managing defended debt litigation cases including but not limited to the small claims, fast track and multi-track and completing all required court paperwork.

You'll have experience of enforcement options to including warrant of execution, charging order, third party debt order and statutory demand.

Organisation will be key, showing ability to prioritise own workload in line with department and business requirements, whilst working calmly and effectively to various deadlines under pressure.

You'll need a flexible approach to working and the ability to cope with frequently changing environments.
