Description

As an Education Centre Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and effective operation of our Educational Programme in Harrow.

You will be responsible for maintaining a welcoming and organised environment conducive to learning. Your duties will include setting up tables and desks, organising resources, and handling general office administration tasks.

As an integral part of our team, you will help empower vulnerable children and young adults through the organised delivery of education sessions that will equip them with essential skills and knowledge for a brighter future.


Hours:
Part-time: 2 hours per week


Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up tables, desks, and learning materials in a manner that supports effective teaching and learning.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised environment within the Education Centre.
  • Monitor and replenish educational resources, ensuring they are readily available for tutors and students.
  • Assist in scheduling and coordinating tutoring sessions and educational activities.
  • Handle general office administration tasks, including managing schedules, answering phone calls, and responding to inquiries.
  • Collaborate with volunteers and other staff to ensure a positive and supportive atmosphere within the Education Centre.
  • Assist in recordkeeping and data entry as needed.
  • Maintain open communication with students, parents, and team members to ensure a cohesive and supportive educational experience.

Requirements:


  • Passion for BMF's mission of empowering vulnerable children and young adults through education.
  • Local to, or ability to commute to, BMF's education centre in Harrow.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students of varying backgrounds, as well as partners worked with to enable education sessions.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to coordinate tasks effectively
  • Ability to work in a teamoriented and collaborative environment, as well as autonomously.
  • Commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of children and young adults.
  • Capable of handling challenging children in a calm and composed manner
  • Must pass an Enhanced DBS check
