Atkins are currently looking for a Project Controller to report to the Project Manager/Director to assist with the preparation of task estimates, financial reporting and the evaluation of time, cost, and quality targets for large projects across Transportation, infrastructure, nuclear and industry.

Your Purpose:


  • Help establish the Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB) and support the project on the monthly collation of progress data related to time, cost, risk, and quality for monthly business reporting.
  • Support the Project Manager/Director by providing specialist advice and technical knowledge to respond to delays, issues, and other challenges throughout the project.
  • Administer Project Control activities, conduct audits, assurance checks of contractors' monthly data submissions and ensure the submissions are fully assessed and are paid in line with the project KPI's.
  • Support the administration of trend/forecast reporting and the Baseline Change Management of the agreed project budget, ensuring that all changes are correctly attributed and charged accordingly.
  • Coordinate the preparation and submission of monthly performance reports to the project lead, in line with business reporting requirements and timescales, to enable prompt decision making, approvals and financial forecasting.
  • Provide guidance and corrective actions to teams to ensure the quality of task submissions and reporting of costs.
  • Attend monthly reviews and other meetings as required.

  • Experience in facilitating and administering multidiscipline meetings with large groups of stakeholders.
  • Understanding of the importance of timely reporting and the energy to deliver against demanding deadlines.

Requirements:


  • Technical Competencies
  • Primavera P6 proficient.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience within a project environment supporting the Project Manager/Director.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience of interacting with internal and external clients.
  • Behavioural Competencies:
  • Initiative ability to work with minimum supervision and make suggestions on best practice and improving current processes and procedures.
  • Teamwork willingly cooperate with the others towards the same goals and objectives.
  • Communication skills effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Time Management able to prioritize, plan and achieve objectives within set timescales.
