EAL Teaching Assistant - Hainault, Redbridge


One of the schools that we are working with in Hainault are looking to secure an EAL Teaching Assistant to start immediately on an ongoing assignment.


The school is an Alternate Provision, which caters for students that are (for one reason or another) not in mainstream school - this could be due to behavioural difficulties, language difficulties or mental health needs.

This school is an extremely harmoniousplace to work, and they care exceptionally well for their students.

There is a powerful culture of continuous improvement in the school, driven by the headteacher, the school's senior leadership team and the governing body.

The school has a highly supportivesenior leadership team which is another reason why the school has gone from strength to strength.


The role would be supporting the class teacher in delivering lessons and creating resources alongside the teacher for an EAL class where the students are refugees that are transitioning into a new Education system - and may need support with language, grammarand emotional support.

The ability to speak Arabic or other languages from that region will come highly regarded but is not essential.
