Our Client is the UK's largest supplier of commercial vehicle lighting systems, Lite-wire and aftermarket auto-electrical products. We also design and build our own range of bespoke products and offer a fitting service in the field.

Our customers includea variety of Blue Chip companies, fleet owners, bodybuilders, repairers, fitters and hire companies over wide-ranging industries in the UK and abroad.


Job Description We are looking for a proactive, new business hunter, whose relationship-building and problem-solving skills will uncover new opportunities.

We need a self-starter, able to generate new leads through cold calling, research, and networking. Sales cycles vary, so tenacity is a must.


You will own your territory and be experienced at getting results through balancing prospecting, selling, and account management, offering exceptional customer service at all times.

You will be responsible for nurturing and developing a number of postal areas from Worcester to Norwich. Hitting new business targets, you will work closely with Sales & Support, Marketing and Purchasing to grow your territory. You will represent multiplesupplier ranges, uncovering opportunities in workshops, garages, van converters, specialist bodybuilders and plant customers.

Job role

Hunt for and qualify new business, sign up appropriate new customers to grow the territory

Connect with key decision-makers, understand their challenges and support them in a trusted

advisor capacity

Meet sales-related performance metrics, including new business, activity versus reward and

customer engagement

Provide and follow up customer quotations, based on an understanding of their needs

Use our rich source of CRM data to support customers, analyse trends and provide a consultative

service

Update and maintain the CRM database with customer details, notes and outcomes of visits

Build relationship with suppliers to enable responsive and efficient customer support

Preferred Strengths

Proven success in new business prospecting

Experience of selling in the automotive industry

An understanding of the sales process, managing territories and call cycles

A strong customer focus, able to identify customer needs and find appropriate solutions

Self-motivated and adaptable, with the drive to succeed

Strong, adaptable communication skills

A good grasp of how to use Social Media to engage and inform customers and prospects
