Description
J.P. Morgan Asset Management is a leading investment manager of choice for institutions, financial intermediaries and individual investors, worldwide.

With a heritage of more than two centuries, a broad range of core and alternative strategies, and investment professionals operating in every major world market, we offer investment experience and insight that few other firms can match.

Our teams have a clear focus on managing client assets and delivering strong risk-adjusted returns with leadership positions in America, the United Kingdom, Continental Europe, Asia, and Japan.

Are you curious about portfolio management and investment strategies? We're looking for energetic, creative talent to join our global team of experts to develop innovative investment strategies for our clients.

The Global Real Assets ("GRA") group manages commingled funds and separately mandated accounts which invest in real estate, infrastructure and maritime assets around the world.

These asset classes have many similar characteristics. First and foremost, they are actual assets as opposed to financial instruments.

As such, in addition to generating relatively predictable cash flows, they have intrinsic value in that there is a real cost to replicate them.

Special expertise is required to own and operate real assets.

Office buildings, for example, need to be managed carefully with skills ranging from day-to-day property management, negotiating lease agreements with tenants, decisions involving strategic capital plans, managing finance arrangements and, finally, expeditiously and profitably exiting the investment.

In addition to acquiring and operating many of our assets, we also often participate in refurbishment, redevelopment and development projects, which activity requires yet additional specific skills such as design, engineering and construction management.

While Real Estate, Infrastructure and Maritime do share many similar investment characteristics, they are sufficiently differentiated that we have independent teams to manage each sector, all of whom have extensive experience with the specific asset class.

Overall, the group consists of functions such as acquisitions, asset management, finance and control, research, product development and client service.

Together, they raise capital, underwrite potential investments, perform due diligence and negotiate closing documentation with respect to new transactions, manage the assets to add value throughout the ownership period and then manage the disposition process - all with an eye toward maximizing the risk-adjusted return on each investment for the clients.

Geographically, the global group is active in the United States, across Europe and throughout Asia. We have over 350 people engaged globally working out of 13 offices.

As part of the GRA team based in Europe, you will be responsible for asset managing a proportion of an expanding UK portfolio which currently has an AUM > £1.75bn and includes Central London Offices, provincial Offices, and UK & Ireland logistics.

Residential investments will also likely be added in the medium term. Assets range in risk from long let core properties to intensive active management opportunistic properties.
