The Best Connection in Doncaster is looking for a Production Supervisor for one of our client to assist with the everyday production.

The company is a leading hay and haylage business, supplying premium grass products to the equestrian and small pet markets.

This is an opportunity to join the small family business in a newly created role following a period of strong and continued growth, based on their farm in Doncaster.


Assignment details:


  • Shift pattern: Monday to Friday
  • Working hours: 07:0016:30 (flexibility required)

Key responsibilities:


  • Communicating goals and deadlines to team members
  • Planning workloads and day to day production with Business manager
  • Leading Production meeting (Weekly)
  • Working in the production line which converts large bales of hay into small, bagged hay & haylage products.
  • Working on the production line and meeting production targets
  • Quality control
  • Be accountable for upkeep and delivery of high safety, quality & hygiene standards
  • Load and unload vehicles in a timely but safe manner including small vehicles to 26 tonne arctics and 40 ft containers for export
  • Ensure the Yard Personnel maintain a clean, neat, and tidy yard always.
  • Maintain an optimal level of customer service and assist to resolve customer issues.
  • Preforming other tasks assigned
  • Adhere to the rules of always wearing the correct PPE.

Person Atributes:


  • A focused, organised individual with a strong knowledge of safe working practices, ensuring all you remain focused on health and safety and the safe movement of material around the site.
  • Strong Team Leader
  • Experience of working in a similar role
  • Experience of the agricultural industry would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Communication Skills
  • Flexibility, to be able to work early or late some days as required
  • Knowledge of and previous experience of working within a safety critical environment
  • Strong work ethic, with the ability to work independently and within a team
  • Have manufacturing background, having worked within a fastpaced production line


  • Have FLT License

  • Telehandler and Counterbalance (desirable)
