Our client based in Colchester are seeking a Print Technician and are offering a starting salary of £27,000.


Job Purpose:


Working within the Print GAP (Group autonomous production) as a Print Technician the job holder is responsible for the safe & efficient running of equipment to targeted outputs, whilst ensuring quality standards are met.

They must ensure presses have adequateraw materials.

It is also the responsibility of the Print Technician to complete all Line Clearances and Pass Off's whilst keeping the press and surrounding areas clean and tidy in line with departmental 5's standards.

Resolve technical and quality matterswith the support of the Gap Leader.


Key Competencies:

  • Health & Safety - Work in a responsible manner to ensure the safety and well-being of all individuals as well as yourself. Look for potential hazards and raise alerts.
  • Quality Standards - Understanding of in process and product quality standards and documentation, and Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP).
  • Press Operating - Competent in the skills required to set and operate the print presses. Ability to achieve targeted machine or process outputs. Good understanding of fault finding and correction to maximise production efficiencies minimise downtime andscrap, whilst maintaining quality standards.
  • Pre-press - Competent in the skills required to complete pre-press tasks. Planning and forward thinking so the presses have the correct plates and paperwork in time to complete changeovers with mínimal down time.
  • Documentation - Good Knowledge of production documentation and instructions, and in process inspection documentation.
