Description

Responsibilities:
Fabricate and assemble windows using various materials, such as glass, aluminium and upvc according to provided specifications and drawings.

• Measure, cut, and shape window frames, sashes, glass panels, and other components using hand or power tools, such as saws, drills, CNC machines and routers.
• Install glass panes into window frames using adhesives, glazing compounds, and other sealing materials, ensuring proper fit and alignment.
• Assemble window frames, sashes, and other components using screws, nails, or welding techniques, following established procedures and quality standards.
• Inspect finished windows for defects, such as gaps, misalignments, or imperfections, and make necessary adjustments or repairs to ensure product quality.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on fabrication machinery and tools to ensure their optimal performance.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery, handling materials, and working with hazardous substances, ensuring a safe and clean work environment.
• Maintain accurate records of materials used, production activities, and any qualityrelated issues encountered during the fabrication process.
• Collaborate with other team members, such as designers, engineers, or installers, to resolve any technical issues, improve processes, and ensure smooth workflow.
• Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and new fabrication techniques to enhance skills and contribute to process improvements.

Skills:

• Proven experience as a window fabricator or in a similar manufacturing role is preferred.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools, such as saws, drills, routers, and welding equipment.
• Knowledge of different window materials and fabrication techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, measurements, and specifications.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing highquality work.

• Excellent manual dexterity and physical stamina.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and recordkeeping.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to work in a safe manner.

Salary:
£8.78-£12.47 per hour
